Scout's site to help report bullying

February 15, 2012

EAST GREENWICH — Ana Opishinski is taking the battle against bullying out of school and putting it online.

“It’s a community issue. You can’t just rely on school,” the East Greenwich High School senior says of the problem that prompted her to create her new website, Bully Tracker, as her Girl Scouting Gold Award project.

The site, which she put online last week at www.ribullytracker.org, is designed to help compile statistics on bullying activity throughout the state and help public safety officials target areas and demographics where extra attention is needed.

For more on the story, read all about it in the Feb. 16 edition of The East Greenwich Pendulum.
