A ride along with South Kingstown's finest

October 28, 2010

Officer Michael Bronson of the South Kingstown Police, ready for duty on Friday night.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - We were sitting in a police car speeding down Route 138 along Kingstown Road with no one to stop us. We drove 80 miles per hour, trying to catch up to those who thought they could be faster. It was the first time I sat in a cop car. However, I didn't break the law and wasn't guilty. I was doing my first cop ride-along with Officer Michael Bronson of the South Kingstown Police last Friday night.

It was a whole new view from inside the cop car. Like a psychedelic light show, the red and blue flashing siren is way more exhilarating from the inside of the vehicle than from outside especially knowing the wailing siren isn't intended for you.
