Richmond social acitivities board created

November 13, 2010

RICHMOND – The Town Council officially established a temporary committee Monday night that will work to provide activities and services to seniors from the town and surrounding communities.

The council appointed seven residents – soon to be eight – to the Richmond Social Activities Ad Hoc Committee that will run through Feb. 28, 2011, though the term can be extended by action of the council. The committee features nine members total, though, as the Elder Affairs Committee Chairwoman, Iva Lipton, will serve as an ex officio voting member.
