SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Prout Principal David Carradini has publicly apologized for potentially offensive comments made by Father Francis Hoffman, Opus Dei priest and executive director of Relevant Radio, during an assembly at the school.

Parents, students, faculty and staff at Prout claim that the speaker’s comments were offensive to homosexuals, children of divorced parents and adoption and those who are pro-choice. Several Christian publications are defending the comments, claiming that the church’s stance on these issues is quite clear and that Hoffman was only restating them.
