This week, the South Kingstown School Committee decided to move the pre-school to South Road School, a switch from last year's plans.

Also, we have the story on how the state police are investigating the unfinished payments of the Institute for Sports to the University of Rhode Island. This week, it was reported the Institute packed up and left town.

After the governor proposed a two-percent hike in the meals tax, the Rhode Island Hospitality Association began a campaign against the proposal. This week they met South County restaurant owners at the Mews Tavern.
