Pier budget includes 4 percent property tax increase

NARRAGANSETT – The town’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2015 calls for a 4 percent property tax increase.

With the increase, the total general fund budget is currently projected at nearly $52.8 million for the next fiscal year, a decrease of 0.7 percent over the current fiscal year. The budgets for town departments are up 12 percent over the current fiscal year to $21.2 million from nearly $19 million.
