Peace, Coventry

August 14, 2014

COVENTRY— A global peace run made its way to Coventry on Tuesday where runners from many different countries spoke with the junior summer camp group about their efforts to create world peace. The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run is celebrating its 27th anniversary as a global torch relay that symbolizes their humanity’s universal objective for a more peaceful world. More than 140 countries have participated in the peace run every year.

As a whole, the group will run the length of the state like they have along the northern coast. The peace run started in New York this past April and will conclude the journey where it began.
