No cages necessary at The Gnarly Dog

August 29, 2013

NARRAGANSETT- Motivated by her love of animals and passion to make a difference, University of Rhode Island graduate Jaclyn Beauregard held the grand opening Thursday for her new business–The Gnarly Dog.

According to Beauregard, The Gnarly Dog is a cage free doggy daycare where dogs can enjoy hours of off leash play while the owners are away. The facility offers both indoor and outdoor play areas.

Beauregard said that she was inspired to create this business when she graduated from URI with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Although she previously worked at a veterinarian’s office and attended the university to become a veterinarian, she realized that she didn’t like the whole medical aspect of the field and she knew that she wanted to use her skills and knowledge to provide the best pet care possible.
