NFD competes in Fight for Air Climb

Chief Scott Partington (far right, standing), Lt. Pat Walsh, and Firefighters Ben Lonngren, Ray Dormer, Dan Hultzman, and Jake Longolucco participated in the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb at the Omni Hotel in Providence. The Narragansett Fire Department placed fourth overall in the firefighter team competition. Ben Lonngren placed second overall in the firefighter category and first in his age group. Chief Partington placed third in his age group in the firefighter competition.

NARRAGANSETT – Members of the Narragansett Fire Department placed fourth overall in the firefighter team competition at the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb at the Omni Hotel in Providence last month.

This year was the sixth consecutive year firefighters from the Narragansett Fire Department have participated in the Fight for Air Climb, which is sometimes referred to as a “vertical road race,” and is a fundraiser for the American Lung Association.
