New Pond Street homes receive highest rating

August 12, 2014

WEST WARWICK— Two houses that were built on Pond Street in West Warwick were awarded the highest Energy Star certification based on the energy efficiency of the building, saving renters 56 percent on their utilities. The single family and two-family affordable housing developments serve three separate units and met the strict requirements to receive the Energy Star certification all thanks to the partnership of Truth Box Architects and D+P Real Estate who took on the project.

Jordan Durham, the Principle and Owner of D+P Real Estate worked on the housing development which finished construction in May 2013. Durham, alongside other architects and developers, were able to achieve the Energy Star certification on the West Warwick houses as well as a pair of townhouses in Providence.
