New affordable home-ownership opportunity in Westerly

WESTERLY -- South County Habitat for Humanity has announced that it is seeking applicants for an existing two-bedroom Habitat unit in a duplex.

Individuals interested in learning about and applying for this opportunity are asked to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at Pleasant Street Baptist Church, 37 Pleasant St., Westerly.

At that time, information will be provided about the Habitat program, about becoming a Habitat homeowner, and about this particular home. Application forms will be available at the meeting, and Habitat will provide a list of items needed to complete the application.

Applicant families must meet income guidelines set by HUD. The following numbers indicate the maximum income level per number of people in the home: one person, $32,940; two people, $37,680; three people, $42,360; four people, $47,040; five people, $50,820; six people, $54,600; seven people, $58,380; and eight people, $62,100.
