Narragansett resident Dr. Albert Alba wins RIDOC award

Dr. Albert Alba of Narragansett recently received the John J. Moran Award for his work at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. Dr. Alba is pictured with his sister, Ellamarie McMullen, and his parents, Rose and Albert Alba Sr.

NARRAGANSETT – Resident Dr. Albert Alba recently received the John J. Moran Award from the Rhode Island Department of Corrections.

Dr. Alba has worked for the DOC for nearly 25 years, where he works as a GED instructor. Alba received the award for his work as a member of the Division of Rehabilitative Services helping others to achieve their maximum potential on a daily basis. Some of the qualities expected of the recipient of this award include outstanding work performance, dedication, alertness, good communication skills, and the ability to motivate other staff members.

In nominating Alba for the award, coworkers spoke highly of his work.
