What are your platforms/plans for the area if elected? As a member of the EWG school committee, I will
promote fiscal responsibility and promote science and math education as I believe the jobs of tomorrow will require our students to be proficient in these areas. I will also promote music and arts education, which I believe instills a sense of worth and motivation in young people.
I will also ensure special needs students and their families get the resources they need to succeed. As the oldest sister of a child with special needs in the EWG school system, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges special needs students and their families face.

Why have you decided to run for office? During my first term, I have learned so much about the operations of the EWG school district and have been able to engage with members of neighboring school districts to exchange ideas and benefit from lessons learned. I feel that I am more prepared now more than ever to drive EWG success in the classroom. Our students bring so much energy to our district. I feel it is my responsibility to our students to proceed with a second term to transform their potential to reality.
What are your platforms/plans for the area if elected? I plan to continue working with the committee to maintain a high standard of learning and the tremendous educational experience that EWG has to offer. There is a lot of work still to complete in terms of bringing our technology baseline up to a sustainable level. This will be essential to support not only the near term needs, but the long term requirements, including the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), which will focus on Common Core State Standards. But most importantly, I will work toward providing our students with a diverse, supportive, and challenging environment to prepare them for their future.
