The owner of a South County Trail seafood restaurant didn’t get the increased seating capacity she wanted from the Zoning Board of Review Tuesday night.
But she got what she needed to keep her in business.
By a 4-1 vote, the board closed a four-month-long drama by granting DiMare Seafood Marketplace of 2706 West Shore Road an increase in patron capacity from 20 to 44 and two variances: one allowing the use of an outdoor deck despite being slightly more than three inches larger than allowed by zoning ordinance, and another allowing valet parking 50 feet farther away than the 500 feet permitted by ordinance.
