EAST GREENWICH - After successfully opening âInkubusâ in Worcester and Rhode Island last October, Chad A. Verdi has stepped onto the first of what he hopes will be bigger playing fields to come: New York City.
The East Greenwich filmmaker, managing partner of Main Street-based Woodhaven Films, premiered his second film, âLoosies,â last Wednesday at the IFC Center in the Tribeca Grand Hotel.
The crime comedy-drama, directed by Michael Corrente and starring Peter Facinelli, who also wrote the script, is already a success on the independent scale, said Verdi, with Video on Demand availability increasing from 50 million to 80 million homes as a result of a sellout premiere screening. The film will go into eight more states next week, with a goal of reaching 20 to 25 states.
