Local artists portray nature’s conflicts and contrasts

March 27, 2014

“Conflict and Contrast” will be on display at the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly through March 30.

WESTERLY – The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly is currently presenting the “Conflict and Contrast” exhibit, featuring the work of local artists Jean Lazar and Lora Branin Cobden.

Cobden’s work includes watercolor paintings of flowers and aquatic life, which are inspired by things she has observed at her Charlestown home.

One of her works includes two paintings of crabs, one of blue crabs entitled, “Just Caught,” and the other of red crabs entitled, “Just Cooked.”
