Homecoming for Hopkinton’s new finance director

HOPKINTON — Newly hired Finance Director Brian Rosso is no stranger to Hopkinton. He’s a native Hopkintonian with generational roots in the town, and he’s thrilled to be back.
“I was born and raised in Hopkinton – my parents still live here, my grandparents still live here. My brother and his family live here, so I still have a lot of ties,” he said.
A 1999 Chariho High School graduate, Rosso, now 34, went on to URI as a economics major/ finance minor, and later returned to URI for his Masters in Business Administration (MBA)with a concentration in finance. He has a diverse financial and accounting background from his positions at Morgan Stanley, Brecek and Young, and Electric Boat.
“I worked at Electric Boat for six years. I started off as a senior financial analyst and then got promoted to senior project analyst after a couple years. I working for the CFO (chief financial officer) and the controller of the company. I had a really good job there and I liked it a lot,” he said.
“It was a great opportunity, but I wanted to I wanted to expand from the corporate world,” he said.
