On Tuesday at the Rhode Island State House, a hearing on 14 gun and weapon bills packed the interior rotunda and the front patio with supporters and detractors on the varied bills.

STATE HOUSE - A hearing on 14 gun and weapon bills in the state house on Tuesday packed the interior rotunda and the front patio with supporters and detractors on the varied bills.

The bills signed onto by local legislators include restricting the possession or transportation of a firearm at an airport and establishing the Firearm Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) that would be created by an additional $50 fine on top of firearm offenses.
