CHARIHO- The Chariho 10 -year- old All-Star team enjoyed quite the run in the tournament during this All-Star season. However, unfortunately, the team saw their journey to an All-Star championship end on Saturday morning, when they lost to South Kingstown American in Chariho, 10-4. The loss ended a four game winning streak for the team out of the loserâs bracket, and the team fell one game short of the final round of the District 3 tournament.
Despite the loss, assistant coach Andy Blanchard couldnât be more proud of his team, and the way they fought throughout the entire playoffs.
âThis team just really keeps fighting,â said Blanchard. âThey put themselves in position to win every single game, and there is absolutely no quit in this team.â
Blanchard knows his team fought hard throughout the entire tournament no matter what the score was in the game.
âEvery game, no matter what the score is,â said Blanchard, âthey found themselves ready to play and never counted themselves out of a game.â
