Former URI basketball player charged with murder in Canada

A former University of Rhode Island basketball player is one of two men charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 33-year-old mother of four in Toronto, according to multiple Canadian media reports.

Alwayne Bigby, 23, of Toronto, is charged in the drive-by shooting death of Andrea White, which reportedly occurred Saturday, April 12 around 11 p.m.
