Flooding causes drain blockages in NK

NORTH KINGSTOWN—As prolonged and heavy rains passed through New England this past weekend, rivers began to burst their banks in many communities. With over five inches of rainfall reported in some areas of the state, North Kingstown witnessed areas of flooding, but not significant damage.

According to Phil Bergeron, director of public works, the worst incident was a flooded home in the Oak Hill area.
