Firemen's memorial dedicated Sunday

WEST WARWICK – “We did it!” said former Fire Chief Jerry Tellier during the dedication of the new firemen’s memorial held Sunday outside Station 4.
Five years in the making, the dedication brought more than 300 people together to remember all those who had gone before them.
Witnessing the day brought President of the Planning Committee Pvt. Jimmy Rita to tears when recalled all the work and dedication it took for the memorial to happen.
“It was the vision of former Fire Chief Donald ‘Benny’ Centracchio,” said Rita. “The thought of honoring anyone who has served on the department originated many years ago with Centracchio.”
