KINGSTONâAs family members filed into the Ryan Center at the University of Rhode Island this past Saturday, imminent graduates mulled about in the structureâs underbelly, giving high fives and relating stories about all the times they spent together in and outside of the classroom. The Exeter-West Greenwich Senior High School Class of 2013 was ready to move on.
Greetings were first in order from Superintendent of Schools James Erinakes II.
âGraduation day is one of those crowning moments in life, a special day that will stand within your memory for days to come,â said Erinakes. âToday is a moment in time, but what we really are celebrating is your journey.â
âSuccess in life depends on the decisions in life as you move along on your journey,â he continued. âReflect on your journey to help you pave the way for whatâs next. None of us are entitled to success in life. It cannot be handed to us, but success is possible, and you are on the right path.â
Exeter-West Greenwich Senior High School Principal Brian D. Butler related all the experience and accolades that the Class of 2013 have gathered over the past four years, urging graduates to trust in the capabilities to which theyâve committed in the past.
