EG to see ‘signs’ of change

EAST GREENWICH — Members of the East Greenwich Town Council had a brief discussion during their Monday meeting at Town Hall regarding amending the text of the sign code within the Town’s zoning ordinance.

Lisa Bourbonnais, the Town’s planning director, told the Council that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) among other organizations had identified there were issues within the Town’s sign code, problems that the ACLU deemed “unconstitutional or unsupportable” and the organization is requesting revisions to the ordinance.
