EG’s Ross primed for A-10 Championship

April 30, 2014

East Greenwich’s Nick Ross had a tremendous showing in last weekend’s Penn Relays in Philadelphia and is now ready to run strong in the upcoming Atlantic-10 Championship meet

Nick Ross would love to go to the NCAA Division I Championship but right now, the La Salle University junior is concentrating on this weekend’s Atlantic-10 Championship in Amherst, Mass.

Ross, from East Greenwich (East Greenwich High), prepped for the league meet with a solid performance in last week’s Penn Relays in Philadelphia. He ran the second leg on the men’s 4xmile Champions of America race and helped the Explorers set a school record with a time of 16:33.50 (the old mark was 16:36.63 set in 2007). And, he ran the leadoff leg on the men’s Champions of America distance medley relay which finished seventh out of 16 teams with a time of 9:39.31.
