PROVIDENCE â€“ The Coastal Resources Management Council will conduct a full review next week of the Ocean SAMP Subcommitteeâ€™s recommendation to approve Deepwater Windâ€™s application to construct the Block Island Wind Farm and the Block Island Transmission System.
The council will meet Tuesday, May 13 at the Department of Administration in Providence to discuss Deepwaterâ€™s application to build five 6-megawatt turbines located off the coast of Block Island and a submarine transmission cable connecting Block Island to the mainland.
