COVENTRY—Two presentations and five resolutions will come before the town council tonight.
There will be presentations by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Pawtuxet Valley Chamber of Commerce (PVCC), which serves Coventry, West Greenwich and West Warwick.
In resolutions, Frank Perry is set to be reappointed to the Coventry Board of Canvassers; the town council will vote on a lease with T-Mobile Northeast to place antenna facilities on a town-owned tower at Coventry High School; they will vote on establishing a Traffic Calming Committee; vote on awarding a contract for vehicle maintenance for the police department; and finally vote on whether or not to approve an agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service that will give the town a grant of $87,675 for erosion mediation on the Pawtuxet River in the Sandy Bottom Road area. The damage is related to the March 2010 floods. The grant will be matched by the town’s $10,855.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the town council chambers, 1670 Flat River Rd.
