EAST GREENWICH â€” Any new business coming into a particular town, like East Greenwich, is always proverbial music to the ears of local government officials.
How loud the actual music that is played within said establishment is a hurdle two prospective restaurateurs need to clear if they want to open up shop at a very notable location on Main Street.
John Davis and Ketan Patel, co-partners of 818 Restaurant Group, LLC, approached the East Greenwich Town Council Monday evening at Town Hall requesting a new alcoholic beverage license with victualing and entertainment for their new restaurant, Havanaâ€™s, that they wish to open at 11 Main St., the same location as the former Post Office CafÃ© and recently-closed Rok Bar and Grill, in a public hearing.
