December 10, 2010

STONINGTON, Conn. – A Charlestown man died Monday night from injuries suffered during a crash on I-95 South between exits 92 and 93, where his stopped car was hit from behind.

According to a Connecticut State Police accident report, 67-year-old Ronald Costa, of 3865 Old Post Road, was stopped in his 1999 Hyundai in the right travel lane of the highway in the area of the Boom Bridge Road overpass without his lights on. A second vehicle – a 2008 Cadillac Escalade driven by Gwendolyn Neri, 46, who had two passengers – was traveling in the same lane and struck Costa's car from the rear.
