Chariho weeks away from Southern Division meet

April 30, 2014

The Chariho girls’ outdoor track team competed at Exeter-West Greenwich High School on Tuesday against EWG and East Greenwich. In close final scores, the Chargers fell to both the Knights and Avengers, but the girls put up many impressive performances in poor and unseasonable conditions.

WEST GREENWICH - It wasn’t a winning day for the Chariho girls’ outdoor track team, but it was a day of close points. The Chargers traveled to Exeter-West Greenwich High School to battle the Scarlet Knights and Avengers, and unfortunately walked away with losses to both teams.

East Greenwich beat Chariho 67-65 and EWG came out on top 76-73. Though Chariho falls to 2-5-0, the girls were very close to sweeping the meet.
