NORTH KINGSTOWNâState and local officials gathered at North Kingstown Town Beach on Friday afternoon as Gov. Lincoln Chafee signed two bills into law which will boost Rhode Islandâs efforts to combat the impact of climate change and sea level rise. The âResilient Rhode Island Actâ will form a coordinating council with members from various state agencies, among other boards, which will work towards corralling the available science and data gathered from local municipalities and research centers.
