Carlson files appeal to zoning violation

April 30, 2014

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - Jordan Carlson, current lessee of the former Campus Cinema on Columbia Street, has filed an appeal to the zoning violation that categorized his private, legal and medicinal marijuana plants as “agricultural products manufacturing.”

When Building Official Jeff O’Hara discovered that the property was being used as a legal growing site, he filed the violation, saying, “What else could it be categorized as?”

The appeal, written by Zoning Attorney John F. Kenyon, was accompanied by 30 pages of medical marijuana laws.
