Daily Dividend Report: ROST, GPS, COH, CPB, PNNT

After the bell yesterday, Ross Stores (ROST) declared its quarterly dividend of eleven cents per share, maintaining the amount paid last quarter. The company also announced third quarter earnings of eighty four cents per share, almost doubling the earnings from the same quarter last year.

Downgrades: Hot Topic, ASM International

This morning, both Piper Jaffray and Citigroup downgraded shares of retailer Hot Topic (HOTT) as both firms remained concerned about what is next for the company. The retailer saw sales spike following the success of the Twilight saga, but caution investors to remain cautious until more visibility for future sales growth is established.

Today's Big Losers: New Gold, China Medical, Semtech

New Gold (NGD) announced it was notified yesterday that the Mexican government's environmental protection agency nullified the mine's Environmental Impact Statement following a court ruling, and ordered the company to suspend its mining operations. New Gold said it plans to appeal the ruling.

Chip Sector Downgraded, Outlook Cautious
