COVENTRYâ€” A national initiative geared towards encouraging businesses and institutions to actively participate in food donation and food waste prevention will now have BJâ€™s Wholesale Club involved in the effort as the first wholesale club to commit to the United States Environmental Protection Agencyâ€™s (EPA) Food Recovery Challenge.
The Coventry BJâ€™s Wholesale Club location has donated 107,147 pounds of perishable food since the programs inception in 2012, according to a representative from the Westborough, Massachusetts-based company.
