BJ's in Centre of New England joins Food Recovery Challenge

COVENTRY— A national initiative geared towards encouraging businesses and institutions to actively participate in food donation and food waste prevention will now have BJ’s Wholesale Club involved in the effort as the first wholesale club to commit to the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Food Recovery Challenge.

The Coventry BJ’s Wholesale Club location has donated 107,147 pounds of perishable food since the programs inception in 2012, according to a representative from the Westborough, Massachusetts-based company.
