COVENTRY â BankRI celebrated its official return to Coventry with a special ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of its 18th location.
âFor years BankRI has had a presence in Coventry and is eager to return and once again offer the community a full-service branch,â said Steven Parente, senior vice president. âAlthough we did leave this location for a time, we still have a very loyal base that came back that includes 80 businesses and 400 households.â
Parente said itâs a great mix of customers and with branches in West Warwick and East Greenwich, theyâre happy to fill the void.
Parente said the bankâs focus is on offering customers a more personal banking experience and stepping out into the community to offer support in whatever capacity possible through charitable donations, corporate sponsorship and employee volunteers.
He said the branch opened on December 15 had 90 transactions and it hasnât stopped since.
Branch Manager Liane Presley lives in Town so sheâs thrilled to work with a bank thatâs so close to the community and close to home.
âIâm very excited,â she said.
