Baccari pleads not guilty

PROVIDENCE—On Tuesday, Richard P. Baccari, the Narragansett resident who has been indicted for conspiracy and bribery, pleaded not guilty before U.S. Magistrate Court Justice Patricia A. Sullivan. Baccari was indicted last week for bribing a group of North Providence councilmen, through his development firm, Churchill and Banks, LLC, to push through plans to build a supermarket.
