It all happened so fast.
Down 1-0, the East Greenwich hockey team gave up three goals in a 2 minute, 44 second span early in the second period and couldn't recover in a 6-2 loss to Cumberland Friday night at West Warwick Civic Center.
After a solid first period, EG gave up a goal just 1:47 into the second period and once Cumberland's scoring train got rolling, it couldn't be stopped. The Clippers scored 25 seconds later and ended the binge with 10:29 left in the period.
EG came back with a goal with 7:14 left, but Cumberland answered with its final tally of the period with three minutes left.
