WEST WARWICK— Main Street in West Warwick will yet again be transformed into a winter wonderland as the Arctic Village Association (AVA) kicks off their tree lighting ceremony tonight.

Barbara Tabak of the AVA explained that the tree lighting event will began at 5 p.m. as students of the Judi T. Dance Studio perform on the Gazebo stage for all to enjoy.

Last year, members of the Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus sang Christmas carols for attendees, but unfortunately this year, members will not be joining in on the festivities.

She said a DJ will be set up on the stage however, playing holiday music until Santa Claus arrives at 6:15 p.m.

Once again, he will be traveling down the street on a fire truck, waving to the children and attendees as he passes.
