NARRAGANSETT – Superintendent of Schools Katherine E. Sipala presented a proposed $27.7 million budget for fiscal year 2015 to the school committee Wednesday, an increase of $357,882 over the current fiscal year’s budget.

The proposed fiscal 2015 budget represents a 1.31 percent increase over the fiscal 2014 budget, what Sipala called a “very small increase.”

“We had hoped for zero,” she said.

Sipala reviewed the considerations she took into account when drafting the proposed budget with the school committee.
