While it will take another perfect season and a Division III championship to match the success of their 2013 season, the Narragansett High School Fastpitch team is off to a promising start.
Now 3-0 on the young season, the Mariners fought for a tough 9-7 win at home on Friday against Juanita Sanchez and followed that up with a convincing 6-1 road victory over Mt. Pleasant on Monday.
Led by NHS starting pitcher Jordan Cameron, the team is looking solid so far. Going into Tuesday’s scheduled home matchup against Rogers (score unavailable at press time), Cameron is 3-0 on the season with 26 strikeouts.
