NARRAGANSETT–The Harbor Management committee met to discuss an impending public meeting with CRMC on March 14 regarding aquaculture permits in Pt. Judith Pond.

But the main agenda item was to listen to a presentation from Save The Bay regarding a scallop restoration program in Pt. Judith Pond the non-profit has worked on since 2007.

SK cops arrest two juveniles for break-ins in Wakefield

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Two juveniles were arrested Monday for break-in and entering on two separate incidents.
At 1:32 p.m., police arrested a 14-year old male for breaking into a home on Kenyon Ave.
“Someone called in the suspicious activity and we were able to locate the individual in the area,” Capt. Jeffrey Allen of the South Kingstown police said.

SK School Committee workshop focuses on developing strong leadership

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – The School Committee held a work shop session Tuesday night, where they focused on how to improve their leadership roles and how to best develop a bullying policy for the schools.
In its discussion on how to formulate a bullying policy that is both current and flexible to future changes, the school committee discussed the possibility of actually talking with students on what goes on in their schools.
