We at The Chariho Times wanted to use this space to take a break from our local news coverage to send out a sincere thank you to all of the veterans who have fought for our nation's freedom and those active servicemen and servicewomen currently protecting us all.

Chariho again discussing all-day Kindergarten

WOOD RIVER JCT. -- The Chariho Regional School Committee is again at tonight's meeting looking at the possibility of offering an all-day kindergarten program.

Minor change to Chariho locator cards

WOOD RIVER JCT. - The recently controversial topic of the Chariho Regional School District administration's use of “locator cards” to verify home-schooled students continued at the school board's Oct. 26 meeting.

This matter, which has apparently been brought up in the past, came to a head when parents who use home instruction attended a School Committee meeting in September.

All-day kindergarten decision up to new school board

WOOD RIVER JCT. – After a discussion of options and how to proceed next, the Chariho Regional School Committee has put off a decision on all-day kindergarten until after the election.
