Exeter having trouble with beaver dams

EXETER—On Monday evening, the town council went though a short agenda, addressing one of the more unique public safety issues that the town faces every year. During the early summer months, beavers flock to Exeter’s waterways, building dams and blocking flow.

Interest arbitration hearings commence

NORTH KINGSTOWN—On Tuesday, representatives for both the town and North Kingstown Firefighters Association (NKFFA) Local 1651 met for their first arbitration hearing, a decision stipulated in Superior Court Judge Brian Stern’s June 22 ruling for interest arbitration.

Missing mail baffles residents

EAST GREENWICH — Julie Daynor, a resident of King Street who works at East Greenwich Oil on Main Street, said she had never gone a day without receiving mail in the 30-plus years she has resided in her neighborhood.
That, however, changed in peculiar fashion when Daynor’s mailbox, along with the mailboxes of her neighbors, would remain empty for a couple days at a time.

Case against Terri Serra comes to an end

July 5, 2013

WAKEFIELD – The case against former Chariho School Committee member, Terri Serra, drew to a close Tuesday in Washington County Superior Court.
Serra, 51, amended her plea from not guilty to a Richmond Police charge of procuring alcohol for a minor stemming from an October 2011 incident, and entered a plea of no contest.

Day care facility approved for Hope Valley
