Eagles soar over EG in title match

CRANSTON – The unique sound a field hockey ball makes when it hits the back of the cage is different than anything in sports, especially when it ends a game and in the case of the East Greenwich field hockey team, their quest at winning back-to-back state championships.

NARRAGANSETT — The sun – or bright skies – went away Wednesday a little bit after 6 p.m. while the Narragansett girls soccer team was doing its annual tradition of celebrating the team’s seniors on their final day on their home pitch.

Tie leaves East girls slightly disappointed

NORTH KINGSTOWN – As far as the standings went, Tuesday’s game between the East Greenwich and North Kingstown field hockey teams didn’t mean much to either team. Both are headed to the playoffs – which could begin as early as Sunday – and there wasn’t anything to gain or lose with Tuesday’s result.
