KINGSTON – With 3 minutes, 48 seconds left to play, many fans in Keaney Blue and white rose from their seats, put on their coats and started exiting the Ryan Center.

Congratulations are in order for former North Kingstown High School basketball and baseball player Mark Medeiros.
The 21-year old has unofficially won the November "Streak for the Cash" on ESPN.com after making the most correct picks on various sporting events this month and because his streak was the biggest of the year, he is set to take home the $150,000 prize.
The University of Rhode Island men's basketball team continue its rough start to the season Wednesday night, falling to in-state rival Brown 65-56.

It was a rough Tuesday night for the South Kingstown and Narragansett football teams as both squads saw their hopes at a Super Bowl title end in the semifinals.
The Rebels led Hendricken 7-0 after a Garrett O'Dowd punt return touchdown, but the Hawks took over and scored the next 42 points in a 42-14 win over SK in the Division I semifinals.
Narragansett outplayed Middletown most of the night, but a pair of fumbles that were returned for Islander touchdowns proved too much to overcome in a 38-22 loss in the Division III semifinals.

NORTH SCITUATE — For the first mile of Sunday’s Rhode Island state girls cross country race at Ponaganset High’s Cover Bridge 5,000-meter course, everything was going according to plan for South Kingstown senior Paige Ethier.

COVENTRY — Cumberland’s one quarter of domination was just enough to overcome Coventry’s three quarters of solid play.
