Program gaining steam at EWG

WEST GREENWICH—Dark clouds and cold temperatures swept across the back fields at Exeter-West Greenwich High School Monday afternoon, making the sunny skies and 60-degree weather seem like a distant memory.
“Here comes the rain,” remarked EWG senior Jess Patalano as she warmed up to throw the javelin.

NK set to defend outdoor track title

This fact is hardly lost on senior Nick Tierney and North Kingstown boys outdoor track teammates as the Skippers attempt to win their second outdoor track title in a row.
“I can only hope we can come with what we had last year,” Tierney says. “We lost a few guys in some key areas but as you know we have some new faces and we’re really looking for them to step up.

Slowed by illness and injury, East Greenwich senior Ben Fazio had a tough end to his cross country season with a 20th place performance after finishing in 18th the year before.
“I had my first ever injury at the beginning of cross country and then I had mono throughout the whole season,” Fazio says. “Cross Country’s my favorite season and not having a good season definitely gave me some motivation to do better in indoor.”

Seniors eye strong end to careers
