Cooling centers a bit quiet

EAST GREENWICH — Whether it’s going over to nearby Goddard Park Beach for a little swim or heading further south to catch some waves, local residents are trying to find ways to remain cool from the recent sweltering temperatures that have enveloped not just East Greenwich, but the entire state and region.

Westminster Unitarian to host emergency preparedness seminar

Preserving the past? Local community group asking Town Council to form historical cemetery committee

Those elements also include old gravesites, where residents and important figures from many generations ago that helped East Greenwich become the town that it is now lay in peace.

RIDE gives two schools ‘warning’ status

East Greenwich Fire Department stresses heat safety

EAST GREENWICH — The East Greenwich Fire Department recently joined with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in an effort to reduce these deaths by reminding parents and caregivers about the dangers of heatstroke in young children, driving home the point of the dangers for children being seriously injured or even dying from being left alone inside a hot car also rise along with the summertime temperatures.
