NK's Bryan Groves honored for serving his country

NORTH KINGSTOWN - Many 25 year-olds have either graduated college, or have been working in the “real world” for a few years but for one North Kingstown resident, life is about a little bit more than that.
For Bryan Groves, who graduated from North Kingstown High School in 2006 and the University of Rhode Island in 2010 and soon after was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Army through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), life revolves around serving your country.

School Committee adjourns rowdy meeting without comment

NORTH KINGSTOWN–Coming on the heels of a cancelled school day due to union picket lines on Tuesday morning, the regularly scheduled session of the North Kingstown School Committee meeting proved to be a perfect venue for a union rally that packed the house at the high school.
“Shame on you! Shame on you!” a rowdy and riled up crowd of ESP workers jeered following a decision by committee Chair Kimberly Page to adjourn the meeting prior to a scheduled public comment session.
