NHS students join together to raise awareness of skin cancer

NARRAGANSETT – Rachel D’Ambrosio grew up on the water, water skiing, knee boarding and swimming. During those summer days, D’Ambrosio applied a 30 SPF sunscreen because she was fair skinned. She was always told that the sun could cause skin cancer because of harmful ultraviolet rays, but she never really understood what that meant until she turned 11.

Council approves expansion of limited liquor licenses

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – The new La Strada Café and Pizzeria in Matunuck will now be able to sell liquor until 10:30 p.m. after the town council approved expanding the number of limited liquor licenses in the town at Monday’s meeting. Phil’s Restaurant on Main Street also received approval for an expansion of its current liquor license to include second floor dining.

WPWA holds solstice paddle
