CHARLESTOWN – Police are seeking a suspect who is alleged to have committed armed robbery at the Sunoco Station on South County Trail last Thursday night.

I was fortunate enough to know the first, Cora Lamoureux, longtime town clerk of West Greenwich, and wish I had known the others. Ruth Arnold and Susan Carpenter, the first two librarians of the Willett Free Library, in Saunderstown, logged a combined 90 years at the circulation desk. Astonishing.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN – At its work shop session Tuesday night, the school committee focused on how students are assessed, how their needs are met and how it relates to NECAP scores.
